Actapio Data Center

Actapio, Inc., a subsidiary of Yahoo! JAPAN, constructed a new data center in East Wenatchee, Washington, USA, commencing construction in March 2018 and completing in December 2018, with operations beginning April 2019. This facility, located at 207 N United Sakura Dr, is designed to serve as a data analysis base for accelerated use of multi-big data. The data center boasts approximately 1,600 racks and a 16MW electric power capacity, utilizing 100% renewable energy from hydroelectric power. It features a direct evaporation, outside air-cooling system with 100% outside air conditioning and a PUE of 1.2 or less. This expansion, larger than Yahoo! JAPAN's first U.S. data center in Washington (operational since December 2014), aims to strengthen Yahoo! JAPAN's processing capabilities for analyzing and utilizing its extensive big data assets, while also contributing to business continuity plans and leveraging the Open Compute Project community for leading-edge design and operation.
