DC Blox is moving forward with a 65,000 sq ft data center project in Henrico County, Virginia, on a 5-acre portion of the former Azalea Flea Market site. The Atlanta-based developer acquired the full 30-acre property for $8 million and plans to invest $60 million initially, with potential expansion bringing the total to nearly $100 million.

Designed as a telecommunications-centric facility, the center will deliver 10 megawatts of capacity and serve a Fortune 500 hyperscale client. It will be staffed by approximately 25 employees and is expected to be operational by mid-2026. DC Blox noted the site’s strong connectivity to Dominion Energy’s grid and its strategic separation from more saturated data center zones in the county. The remainder of the property is under review for future commercial use.
