Globalinx Portsmouth

Globalinx is planning a new data center in Portsmouth, Virginia, as part of its regional expansion strategy. The proposed site is located roughly 20 miles west of its existing facility in Virginia Beach and has been discussed in meetings with the Portsmouth Broadband Authority. While specific capacity and build timelines have not yet been disclosed, the company has identified 700 Port Centre Parkway as a candidate location.

This development would serve as a backup and complementary facility to the Virginia Beach campus, which currently spans 21.5 acres and is being built out in four phases. The Portsmouth location is expected to enhance redundancy and availability for clients leveraging Globalinx's subsea cable connectivity, including the nearby Telxius CLS which hosts major transatlantic and South American routes.
