Project Sisson, a large-scale data center development by Peterson Companies, is planned for Fredericksburg, Virginia. The campus, located off Kings Highway near the Rappahannock River, is slated to comprise 16 two-story data center buildings totaling 3.8 million square feet and four substations.
The site was selected for its robust infrastructure and strategic proximity to the Northern Virginia data center network, a major hub for global internet traffic. Cooling water for the facility will be sourced from the Little Falls Wastewater Treatment Plant, located less than two miles away. The development will impact approximately four acres of wetlands and open water.
Peterson Companies, a real estate developer founded in 1965, has a history of developing various property types and has previously partnered on data center projects. The company also has existing landholdings and plans for data center developments in other Virginia counties.
