Amazon AWS IAD - 123 Old Potomac Church Rd

IAD data centers are part of the us-east-1 AWS region: US East (N. Virginia).

Amazon Data Services has proposed a two-building data center campus in Stafford County, Virginia, known as the Potomac Church Tech Center. The project would span nearly 50 acres along Old Potomac Road near South Campus Boulevard. Amazon is seeking to rezone the site from Urban Commercial (B-2) to allow for data center development.

The campus would include two two-story buildings totaling approximately 510,000 sq ft, along with a new electrical substation. Amazon plans to invest around $1 billion in the project and has agreed to fund $7 million for a county pumping station and water pipeline. The land, previously zoned for a medical clinic but never developed, is owned by Old Potomac Church LLC.
