IAD data centers are part of the us-east-1 AWS region: US East (N. Virginia).
Amazon Web Services (AWS) plans to build three new data centers on a 90-acre site in Stone Ridge, Loudoun County, Virginia. The location is southwest of Dulles International Airport, at 42139 Reeds Farm Lane. The buildings are expected to be two or three stories tall, though exact dimensions have not been disclosed.
AWS acquired the land in 2019 for $116.4 million from White Peaks Capital, which had purchased it earlier that same day for $98.67 million. The site is adjacent to other AWS-owned parcels, one of which already hosts operational data centers. Microsoft owns a neighboring plot between the two AWS sites.

Hence all AWS listings in our database are based on publicly available information from third parties, open databases, property registries, construction applications, permits, tenders, news coverage and our custom research.
