Google is constructing a new data center in Wilbarger County, Texas, as part of its ongoing expansion in the state. This facility will incorporate advanced air-cooling technology, significantly reducing water consumption to only essential campus operations. The data center will be co-located with new clean power generation developed by AES, aligning with Google's commitment to renewable energy and energy resilience. This project is part of Google's broader investment in Texas, which includes contracted energy generation and capacity additions to the state's electricity grid, as well as an Energy Impact Fund focused on energy affordability and development initiatives.
