TeraWulf, in a joint venture with AI cloud firm Fluidstack and backed by Google, is developing a significant data center campus in Abernathy, Texas. This new facility will deliver 168MW of critical IT load (240MW gross) across a 120-acre site.
The project is slated for delivery in the second half of 2026 and represents a 25-year hosting commitment, projecting approximately $9.5 billion in contracted revenue for the joint venture. TeraWulf will hold a majority stake of 51 percent.
Google is providing substantial financial backing, supporting approximately $1.3 billion of Fluidstack’s long-term lease obligations for project-related debt financing. The joint venture also includes provisions for future expansion, with the right to develop subsequent phases at the Abernathy campus beyond the initial 168MW.
This initiative underscores TeraWulf's strategy of converting infrastructure into contracted megawatts with investment-grade counterparties at strategic scale, while Fluidstack aims to support next-generation GPU clusters for foundation model developers.
