Amazon Web Services (AWS) is expanding its Texas presence with "Project Eagle," a significant data center development located in Boling, Wharton County. This new campus will feature four identical buildings, each measuring 189,060 sq ft and representing an investment of $300 million per building. The total land area for the campus is approximately 2,700 acres, situated near Farm to Market roads 1301 and 442. Construction is scheduled to commence on August 1, 2026, with the first three buildings expected to be completed by early January 2027, and the fourth by August 2027. Wharton County, located southwest of the major Houston data center market, is poised to become a new hub for data center development with this AWS project.
