Soluna Holdings is launching Project Annie, a 75MW solar-powered data center in northeast Texas. This facility will be colocated with a 114MW solar farm, marking Soluna’s first deployment utilizing solar energy. Developed in partnership with a leading renewable energy provider, Project Annie is designed to convert excess solar power into scalable computing infrastructure, supporting AI and cryptocurrency applications.
The data center will integrate modular architecture, allowing for flexible and efficient deployment of high-performance computing workloads. Soluna’s approach ensures optimized energy utilization while maintaining a sustainable footprint. Project Annie is named after Annie Easley, a pioneering African American computer scientist and mathematician known for her contributions to NASA’s rocket systems and energy technologies.
Beyond its technical capabilities, Project Annie represents a strategic expansion of Soluna’s renewable-powered data center portfolio. The company now operates and is developing 773MW of computing capacity across multiple sites, including Project Ellen (100MW), Rosa (187MW), Dorothy I & II (98MW), and Grace (2MW). This initiative reinforces Soluna’s commitment to sustainable computing and innovative digital infrastructure.
