Lincoln Property Company has announced an ambitious project to develop a 131-acre data center campus in Dallas, Texas. This development will be built in collaboration with fiber provider Gigabit Fiber and investment firm Tradition Holdings. The campus will feature four buildings, providing up to 540MW of total power across 800,000 square feet of data center space. Each building will supply 96MW of critical capacity.
The first phase of the project, expected to begin in Q1 2025, will see the construction of a 7,500 square foot facility offering 2MW of IT capacity. The project is strategically located in Red Oak, a booming area in South Dallas with a growing demand for data center assets. Lincoln Property Company is deeply committed to developing in the Dallas market and aims to capitalize on the increasing need for data center opportunities in the region.
This new venture allows Lincoln to bring its data center expertise to its own backyard, enhancing the company's presence in the greater Dallas market. The project is designed to handle cloud computing, artificial intelligence, and high-capacity, low-latency optical networks.
Lincoln Property Company has a strong track record in the data center industry, with existing facilities in Atlanta and recent acquisitions in Alpharetta, Georgia. The company has converted underutilized enterprise data center assets to higher-density, multi-tenant uses in markets including Dallas, Atlanta, Washington DC, Phoenix, and Chicago.
