ACS is planning a major data center campus in Fort Worth, Texas, marking a significant expansion of its digital infrastructure portfolio in the U.S. The project will span 107 acres and include five data center buildings and an adjacent Oncor Electric substation, with development unfolding in two phases—Phase I targeted for completion by 2031, and Phase II by 2034.
The campus is designed with sustainability in mind, incorporating a water loop system to reduce water consumption. While specific capacity figures haven’t been disclosed, the project aligns with ACS’s broader strategy to develop and operate data centers for lease or sale, complementing its traditional construction business. The company’s global pipeline reportedly exceeds 5 GW, with active developments in Spain, Australia, Chile, and the U.S.
ACS is seeking local tax incentives through its subsidiary, ACS DC Hicks Field Road, LLC. The proposal includes a $240.8 million investment in each phase and the creation of 37 high-paying jobs, with salaries starting at $150,000. In return, the company is requesting up to 70% in property tax abatements over a 10-year period.
