Iron Mountain Data Centers Hutto Campus

Iron Mountain is planning a significant data center development, the Hutto Campus, located approximately 500 acres outside Hutto, Texas, near Austin. This new facility will feature up to seven buildings and an on-site substation. The project is designed with a closed-loop cooling system, which the company stated would use less water than a previously proposed residential development on a portion of the site. The first grid-connected buildings are anticipated to be operational around 2030. Iron Mountain is also exploring natural gas options for earlier capacity deployment. This marks Iron Mountain's first data center development in Texas, expanding its existing portfolio of colocation and hyperscale capacity across 21 markets globally.
