A new data center project, named Data Center THM1A, is underway in Lueders, Texas. The facility will be a one-story, 280,000-square-foot structure located on Bean Road in Jones County. Construction began on June 18, 2025, and is expected to be completed by April 2027.
The project is being developed at what’s referred to as the “THM campus,” though the exact nature of this campus remains unclear. The estimated construction cost is $350,000, and notably, the funding is not being provided by the future tenant, whose identity has not been disclosed.
HDR Engineering, known for its work on CalEthos’ 300MW campus in California, is leading the design and construction. This development adds to the growing trend of data center expansion beyond Texas’ major metros, with Lueders situated near Abilene—home to OpenAI’s Stargate flagship facility.
