DC BLOX is redefining the hyperscale cable landing station (CLS) model with its new cutting-edge facility in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. In partnership with global hyperscale partners, this CLS is designed to host up to five subsea fiber optic cables.

Strategically located in the International Technology & Aerospace Park (ITAP), the Myrtle Beach CLS offers an ideal geographic position between other cable landing points in Florida and Virginia Beach. It provides direct access to the rapidly growing hyperscale data center footprint across the Southeast United States.

The state-of-the-art CLS is designed for up to 125,000 square feet of space and 19MW of total power capacity. It features a highly redundant and reliable architecture with 2N power generation, UPS systems, and switchgear. The facility can provision up to 15MW of power.

Built to withstand 170mph sustained hurricane winds, the CLS utilizes precast concrete construction to protect equipment yards. Its cooling infrastructure employs indirect adiabatic and evaporative systems for efficient, sustainable operations with N+1 redundancy.

In addition to cable landing capabilities, the CLS provides colocation space for network operators, communications providers, and partners. Its Uptime Institute Tier III concurrently maintainable design and SOC 2 Type II compliance ensure a resilient, secure environment.

The Myrtle Beach CLS is connected by DC BLOX's new high-capacity, low-latency dark fiber East-West route from Lithia Springs, GA, which also extends connectivity to Atlanta's internet exchanges and other regional destinations.
