DC BLOX Jackson is a proposed artificial intelligence data center campus to be developed on federal land at the Savannah River site in Aiken County, South Carolina. Selected by the US Department of Energy (DOE) through a competitive process, DC BLOX will partner with Amentum to develop the facility. The project is part of an initiative to create off-grid AI data centers on federal lands. The campus is planned to include a 1GW AI data center and approximately 2GW of on-site power generation, initially utilizing natural gas as a bridge to nuclear energy. The site has potential for data center and power generation facilities across ten tracts of land, with the data center footprint ranging from 250 to 450 acres. Existing power infrastructure includes 115kV lines, and two commercial solar facilities with BESS are scheduled for operation in 2029. DC BLOX is a US-based data center developer with a significant footprint across multiple states.
