Amazon Web Services (AWS) is planning a substantial data center campus in Kline Township, Pennsylvania. The proposed development, located on Lofty Road, is slated to include up to ten data center buildings, covering a total of 2.5 million square feet of floor space on a 346-acre site. This project is situated near Interstate 81 and State Route 309 in Schuylkill County. AWS acquired the land in 2025 for $178 million. The company has committed to investing $20 billion in data centers across Pennsylvania, with this site being a key part of their expansion strategy. The campus is expected to create an estimated 25-30 full-time jobs per building.
