Switch, a US data center firm, has announced plans to develop a significant 382-acre data center campus in Big Beaver Borough, Beaver County, Pennsylvania. Located approximately 40 miles (64km) northwest of Pittsburgh, this expansion marks Switch's entry into the Keystone State. The campus will utilize Switch's proprietary design, including a closed-loop cooling system that recycles water, consuming zero water for server and GPU cooling and requiring minimal water for office and warehouse spaces. Switch aims to be a long-term partner in Beaver County, investing in infrastructure and supporting local initiatives to stimulate the economy and benefit the community. The company, founded in 2000, currently operates large data center campuses in Austin, Reno, Las Vegas, Grand Rapids, and Atlanta.
