Project Forge Campus, located in Malvern, Pennsylvania, is a proposed data center development by Sentinel Datacenters. The project emphasizes a sustainable vision with advanced technology and community-first design, aiming to provide significant tax revenue and economic benefits to East Whiteland Township.
The updated plans replace an older, approved design with a more modern and efficient approach. Key improvements include the adoption of closed-loop, air-cooled chillers for HVAC, eliminating the substantial daily water consumption of the previous open-loop cooling towers. The new design also incorporates enhanced visual and acoustical screening, with emergency generators housed in acoustical enclosures behind full-height screenwalls, and removes proposed antenna yards and microwave towers.
Landscaping has been significantly upgraded with taller and wider trees, additional shrubs, and planted berms. The building floor areas are also increased in the amended plan. Sentinel Datacenters has committed to post-construction real-time sound monitoring and limited generator testing hours. The project is undergoing review by East Whiteland Township.
