Pennsylvania Digital 1 - Building 3

Pennsylvania Digital 1 (PAX) is a significant hyperscale data center development located in Carlisle, Pennsylvania, a joint venture between Pennsylvania Data Center Partners and PowerHouse Data Centers. This project is part of a larger $15 billion initiative to build three hyperscale data center campuses in Central Pennsylvania, aiming to deliver 1.35 GW of capacity with potential expansion up to 1.8 GW, specifically engineered for the demands of AI data center development.

The campus is situated on approximately 700 acres and includes three distinct campuses, each supported by a dedicated 450 MW substation. It boasts robust connectivity, with access to 17 metropolitan fiber networks and direct peering to Ashburn, Virginia, positioning it strategically within the Northeast's emerging AI corridor. Power is reliably supplied through PPL Electric Utilities, ensuring seamless integration with the transmission system.

Pennsylvania Digital 1 is designed for speed and growth, offering hyperscale clients the scale, power, and location necessary for next-generation infrastructure. The development is also projected to bring substantial economic benefits to the local community, including significant tax revenue and the creation of high-skilled employment opportunities. The project benefits from Pennsylvania's data center tax exemption, offering a 100% abatement of sales and use taxes on equipment and electricity for up to 15 years.
