Bitfarms Panther Creek

Bitfarms is developing a high-performance computing (HPC) and AI-focused data center campus at Panther Creek in Carbon County, Pennsylvania. The site, formerly a waste coal-fired power plant, offers access to nearly 1GW of energy capacity, positioning it as a strategic location for energy-intensive workloads. The project is part of Bitfarms’ pivot from cryptocurrency mining to AI infrastructure development.

In partnership with T5 Data Centers, Bitfarms is advancing the design, planning, and construction of the campus, leveraging T5’s expertise in hyperscale data center development. The Panther Creek facility is expected to support next-generation AI applications, benefiting from strong political support and proximity to major energy and fiber infrastructure.

The campus will feature modular buildouts, liquid cooling capabilities, and scalable power configurations. It reflects Bitfarms’ broader strategy to capitalize on the growing demand for AI infrastructure across the U.S., with Panther Creek serving as a flagship site in its 1GW development pipeline.
