A new data center has been proposed in Preble County, Ohio, with plans to rezone 300 acres of farmland near I-70 for industrial use. The project is led by land developer PRSM and aims to attract major tech companies such as Apple, Amazon, or Google.

Despite initial momentum, the county’s planning commission unanimously rejected the rezoning request in August. A final decision now rests with the county commission, following a public hearing scheduled for later this month.
