J5 LLC is planning a significant data center development in Piqua, Ohio, located in the Piqua I-75 Business and Industrial Park. The proposed campus will span approximately 607 acres along Farrington Road. The project involves the construction of two data center buildings, each planned to be 350,000 sq ft (32,516 sqm). Development of these facilities is expected to occur concurrently and take between three to five years to complete. J5 LLC has entered into an agreement with the city of Piqua, which includes a 15-year, 100 percent tax exemption on improvements valuation tax increases for the buildings and a 30-year, 100 percent real property tax exemption, in exchange for payments in lieu of taxes (PILOT) into a tax increment financing (TIF) fund.
