Bitdeer Shalersville Campus

The Bitdeer Shalersville Campus, located in Shalersville, Ohio, is a planned 15-building data center project by Bitdeer Technologies Group. Situated on approximately 257 acres at the Turnpike Commerce Center, it is slated to become Bitdeer's largest facility in the United States. The campus will have an initial power capacity of 150 megawatts, with the potential to expand to 750 megawatts. The project is designed to meet the growing demand for artificial intelligence and crypto-mining, featuring small data halls of around 48,000 square feet each. The first phase includes two data halls and an office building, with a total construction cost exceeding $300 million, excluding equipment. Bitdeer is not seeking tax incentives for this development. The campus is expected to create 30-50 long-term jobs in its initial phase, growing to 150-200 employees upon completion, with estimated salaries ranging from $50,000 to $120,000 annually. The project also anticipates generating significant property tax revenues for the county and township.
