Bitzero Nekoma

Bitzero's Nekoma data center in North Dakota, USA, is housed within the historic Stanley R. Mickelsen Safeguard Complex, commonly known as “The Pyramid”. This Cold War-era military installation, acquired by Bitzero in 2022, was selected for its large-scale power redundancy, grid independence, and advanced physical security.

The 184-acre site benefits from a diversified energy mix, including wind, natural gas, and traditional grid sources. Currently, the facility operates at 2.5 MW, with 30 MW prepped for rapid deployment. With planned grid updates, the site has the potential to scale up to 300 MW total capacity. Additionally, waste heat from the data center will be repurposed to heat an on-site greenhouse, reinforcing Bitzero’s commitment to sustainability and innovation.
