The Tarboro NetZero Campus, located in Tarboro, North Carolina, is a proposed large-scale data center project by Energy Storage Solutions LLC. The campus will feature a significant energy infrastructure, including a 300MW ac/1200MWh Battery Energy Storage System (BESS). This NetZero project aims for sustainability through cogeneration and a "carbon sponge" clean energy system designed to capture 130% of CO2 and other emissions.
The project will generate its energy behind the meter using a natural gas "green" generation system, with energy stored in the BESS. The site has proximity to a large natural gas transmission line and is assured adequate supply by Piedmont Natural Gas Company. The campus will comprise four 25MW ac data centers and four 50MW ac mobile data centers.
Connectivity is supported by a major fiber line on Hwy 64 (Future I-87) and fiber adjoining the site. Power infrastructure includes nearby 230kV and 115kV transmission lines from Dominion Power. The project plans to build its own substation on-site. The site is cleared, farmed, and free of flood zone or wetland issues. The data and energy storage systems will be "EMP Harden" to meet National Defense, DOD, and DOE guidelines.
This is a campus listing, that covers multiple data centers.
