725 East Trade Street (CLT16)

Digital Realty is expanding its presence in Charlotte, North Carolina, with the acquisition of the Court Arcade building at 725 E. Trade Street. The company plans to demolish the 1920s office building to construct a new four-story, 12MW data center. This development is adjacent to Digital Realty's existing Charlotte facility, CLT10, which comprises three buildings at 731 E. Trade St., 113 North Myers St., and 125 North Myers St. The expansion aims to address the increasing demand for connectivity and colocation services driven by Charlotte's robust local economy and rapid digital transformation. Digital Realty's existing CLT10 facility offers 29,200 sq ft of colocation space and 2MW of capacity. The company is also developing a separate, larger data center campus in the Charlotte area.
