5C is developing a next-generation AI data center campus in Charlotte, North Carolina, as part of a broader global infrastructure rollout. The facility will launch with 50MW of critical IT capacity in Phase 1 by Q4 2025, with the full site designed to scale up to 1,600MW—making it one of the world’s largest planned data center campuses.
Spanning a 1.4 million square foot building on a 161-acre site, the Charlotte campus is tailored for AI workloads, including training, fine-tuning, and inference. It will support 5C’s mission to deliver high-density, high-performance infrastructure optimized for GPU clusters, network accelerators, and low-latency data pipelines—targeting hyperscalers, next-gen cloud providers, and AI-native enterprises.
This site forms part of 5C’s broader strategy, which includes over 2GW of capacity planned globally, with more than 800MW ready-to-deploy across North America, Europe, and Asia by 2026. The Charlotte facility serves as a cornerstone of 5C’s AI cloud ecosystem, offering flexible ownership or leasing models for enterprise clients seeking scalable and energy-efficient infrastructure.
