NYDIG Massena East DC1

The NCCS Massena East Campus, developed by North Country Colocation Services, an affiliate of NYDIG, is situated in Massena, New York. This data center is being established on the former 1,600-acre Alcoa East smelter site, originally constructed in 1958. The site, which closed in 2014, is being redeveloped for modern computing operations. Initially permitted for 180MW, the campus has the potential to expand to 635MW in phases. Site plans indicate an 88-acre project that could total 635MW across two buildings, covering 870,000 sq ft. The transaction with Alcoa Corporation for the site is valued at up to $315 million, with proceeds expected over a seven-year period as capacity is developed and commissioned.

NYDIG currently operates a crypto mining facility on the site.
