Background:
Gotham Bus has owned and operated its own datacenter since November 2000, providing co-location, rack space and dedicated servers. Our typical client is a small web hosting provider running between 1 and 15 servers. We're also perfect for VoIP providers based on our outstanding network infrastructure and easy "loopless" PSTN access via a class 5 CLEC switch located in our facility.

Our facility offers the network infrastructure benefits of a New York City datacenter while being located in a safe, quiet community on the north shore of Long Island.

Details:
The datacenter is located below grade, making it easier to maintain a steady temperature year-round. All racks are bolted directly to a high-strength slab on grade, so floor loading is not an issue for us. Every rack is equipped with battery backup, with an on-site natural gas power generation system to carry the full load of the datacenter during extended power outages.

Connectivity:
All three of Long Island's major fiber providers (Keyspan, Verizon and Cablevision) maintain bi-directional self-healing SONET rings in our building. IP connectivity consists of a blend of Peer1, Mzima and Global Crossing bandwidth.
