ON3 Data Center

Prism Capital Partners has received approval for a major data center development within its expansive ON3 campus in Nutley, New Jersey. The proposed facility will occupy an 11-acre parcel at the intersection of Kingsland Street and Cathedral Avenue, marking a strategic shift from Prism’s earlier plans for a truck depot on the same site, which were withdrawn after community feedback.

Part of a broader mixed-use redevelopment, the ON3 campus spans 116 acres and is transforming a former Hoffmann-La Roche pharmaceutical complex into a hub for technology, education, healthcare, and innovation. The campus already hosts institutions like the Hackensack Meridian School of Medicine and companies such as Ralph Lauren and Quest Diagnostics, supported by a 10MW co-hybrid power plant.

The data center is expected to reinforce ON3’s position as a next-generation infrastructure destination, aligning with the campus’s emphasis on high-performance facilities and sustainable utilities. Although specific technical details are pending, the project has potential to complement regional digital capabilities—especially given its proximity to a separate 130,000 sq ft data center used for capital markets connectivity just a mile and a half away.
