Switch Las Vegas AI Factory 2

Switch is expanding its data center footprint in Las Vegas with a new generation of facilities specifically designed for AI workloads. These "AI factories" will be located near the Jones Boulevard–215 Beltway interchange, close to Switch’s existing Core Campus. Unlike its traditional hyperscale sites, the new buildings are smaller but feature significantly higher rack densities to accommodate specialized AI hardware.

Construction is already underway on two facilities, spanning approximately 199,000 and 228,000 square feet. These sites are being equipped with liquid cooling systems, which Switch is already deploying for high-performance setups such as Nvidia’s GB300 NVL72, operated by CoreWeave. This cooling technology supports intense computational demands while improving energy efficiency.

As part of a broader strategy led by Switch's Chief Strategy Officer Jason Hoffman, these AI-centric facilities reflect the company’s pivot toward high-density infrastructure tailored for machine learning, model training, and inference. The project reinforces Las Vegas’s role as a central hub in the evolving landscape of intelligent digital infrastructure.
