Switch, a prominent data center operator, has purchased 176 acres of land located at Apex Industrial Park, northeast of Las Vegas, Nevada, adjacent to US Highway 93. The acquisition cost was $85.5 million. While Switch has been contacted for comment regarding plans for this site, the company is known for operating large data center campuses across the US, including in Las Vegas and Reno, Nevada. Switch also specializes in developing AI-specific data centers with proprietary liquid cooling systems to support hyperscale clients. This new acquisition could potentially lead to the development of another significant data center presence in the Las Vegas market.
