Krambu is proposing to develop an AI data center at the former Bonner Mill Industrial Park in Bonner-West Riverside, Missoula, Montana. The project aims for a sustainable footprint, incorporating a closed-loop heat capture system designed to service adjacent ecosystems like aquaponics or greenhouses. This system is intended to utilize a water volume comparable to the previous saw mill operations. The proposed facility is subject to Missoula County's zoning regulations for data centers and cryptocurrency operations, which mandate sourcing all power from new renewable energy and recycling all electronic waste. Due to its proximity to a residential area (500 feet), the project requires a "special exception review" to address potential impacts such as traffic, noise, and lighting. The project is in its initial stages, with a formal application yet to be submitted to Missoula County. Public consultation is anticipated if a formal application is received.
