Google Project Kestrel is a significant data center development located on a 430-acre site near Kansas City International Airport in Kansas City, Missouri. The campus, acquired by Shenandoah Computing LLC, an entity associated with Google, is slated for phased construction of five buildings, each approximately 500,000 sq ft. The project includes the development of an on-site substation by Evergy. Project Kestrel is expected to create 50 full-time jobs per construction phase and aims to utilize at least 50 percent of its energy from carbon-neutral sources. The development has secured a 35-year exemption on real and personal property taxes, along with sales tax relief for construction materials.
