LiquidCool Loring, situated at the former Loring Air Force Base in Limestone, Maine, marks the state's inaugural artificial intelligence data center. This facility leverages the patented liquid-cooled, rack-based server technology from Minnesota-based LiquidCool Solutions, enabling high-density and cost-effective cooling.

The data center occupies 115,000 square feet within building No. 7230, a former warehouse at the corner of Florida and Kansas roads. It is designed to support the significant computational power and vast storage requirements for training and running AI services.

Strategically located on the "Three-Ring Binder" fiber optic network, Loring offers direct connectivity to major internet exchange points. Coupled with access to ample electricity from hydropower and existing infrastructure, the site is attractive for data center development. The facility is expected to become operational within six months, initially utilizing five to six megawatts of power, with plans for significant scaling through Green 4 Maine's energy roadmap.
