Meta Hyperion - Building 4

Meta’s Hyperion Data Center Campus is a $10 billion AI-optimized facility under development in Richland Parish, Louisiana. Spanning 4 million square feet across a 2,250-acre site, it will be Meta’s largest data center to date, with up to nine buildings planned. The campus is designed to support Meta’s Superintelligence Labs and will deliver over 2GW of compute capacity by 2030, with the potential to scale up to 5GW over time.

The project is central to Meta’s broader strategy to build multi-gigawatt clusters for advanced AI workloads, including training large language models like Llama. To meet its energy demands, Meta is partnering with Entergy Louisiana to add 1.5GW of renewable energy to the grid and construct new power infrastructure, including substations and transmission lines. The company has pledged to match its electricity use with 100% clean energy and restore more water than it consumes at the site.

Hyperion is expected to create over 500 operational jobs and employ more than 5,000 construction workers at peak. Meta is also investing over $200 million in local infrastructure improvements and community programs, including workforce development and digital skills training. The scale and ambition of Hyperion position it as a cornerstone in Meta’s race to lead the next generation of AI infrastructure.
