Amazon Web Services (AWS) is investing $6 billion to develop a new data center campus in Shreveport, Louisiana, located at the Resilient Technology Park. This investment increases AWS's total commitment to data center development in Louisiana to $18 billion across three campuses. The Shreveport campus will span approximately 254.8 acres and is planned to include seven data center buildings, each around 400,000 square feet and two stories high, totaling 2,881,500 square feet of data-center space. The project is expected to create approximately 210 direct jobs once operational and around 2,250 construction jobs during development. AWS is also funding necessary water, wastewater, and energy infrastructure upgrades in collaboration with local utility providers.
