The Hut 8 River Bend Campus is a large-scale digital infrastructure development located in West Feliciana Parish, Louisiana. The site spans 592 acres and is designed to support up to 300MW of utility-scale power, with 200MW dedicated to IT load. It targets high-performance computing and Bitcoin mining workloads.
Phase one includes two data center buildings, each approximately 450,000 square feet, with construction scheduled for completion by late 2025. A second phase will add more facilities by the end of 2026. The campus will draw electricity from the grid, with new substations and transmission lines planned to support operations.
Cooling is managed via a closed-loop recirculating system, minimizing water consumption. The initial charge will require only the equivalent of 3–4 Olympic-size swimming pools, with ongoing usage limited to basic facility needs.
The total investment for the project is expected to reach $2.5 billion, with future tenant infrastructure potentially adding another $10 billion in computing equipment. The site is optimized for scalability, sustainability, and high-density compute environments.
