The Mason County Campus is a proposed 2,080-acre data center development located in Maysville, Kentucky. Rezoned for rural industrial use, the project is spearheaded by the Maysville-Mason County Industrial Authority.
The campus is slated to feature six 718,740 sq ft data center buildings and three substations. The end-user is identified as a US-based Fortune 50 technology company. This company has committed to covering 100% of the electrical and water infrastructure costs, along with road improvements.
Both the City of Maysville and Fleming-Mason Energy Cooperative have confirmed their capacity to supply water and electricity to the facility. Development proposals suggest the campus could support up to 2,600 employees, primarily in construction roles. While specific IT capacity details are not yet public, previous reports indicated a potential of around 2.2GW.
Located in northern Kentucky, Mason County is experiencing a growing interest in data center development, a trend also observed in other parts of the state.
