DAMAC Digital is developing the Heartland Data Center in Edgerton, Kansas, a significant $860 million project focused on creating a best-in-class facility for artificial intelligence, cloud, and enterprise workloads. The project involves the conversion of an existing 400,000-square-foot warehouse located within Logistics Park Kansas City. Construction is slated to commence in the summer of 2026, with the facility expected to be operational by 2027. DAMAC Digital, the digital infrastructure division of Dubai-based DAMAC Group, designs, builds, and operates large-scale data centers globally. The Edgerton facility is engineered with advanced cooling technology to minimize water consumption and features dedicated power infrastructure funded by DAMAC Digital, ensuring no direct impact on local power supply or costs. The design prioritizes environmental responsibility, noise and light mitigation, and community engagement, aiming to be a considerate neighbor. The data center will serve leading technology and enterprise customers with substantial computing and data storage requirements. The project is expected to create numerous jobs during construction and operations, with a focus on local hiring and workforce development partnerships.
