Google has acquired the Project Maize data center development in Michigan City, Indiana, located at 402 Royal Road. This project will repurpose a building formerly occupied by Federal Mogul Corp., which has been vacant for over 15 years. Google plans to invest approximately $832 million in this facility.

The development aims to establish Michigan City as a center for digital infrastructure, fostering economic growth and creating over 30 high-skill jobs. Google has committed to being a transparent community partner, covering 100% of the site's power and infrastructure costs related to its operations.
