Metrobloks is proposing a $500 million data center development in Indianapolis, Indiana, targeting a 75MW facility upon completion.

The site is located at 2505 N Sherman Drive in the Martindale-Brightwood neighborhood, on a 14-acre parcel that formerly housed the Sherman Drive-In theater. The property has been vacant since 1983.

The project would be built in two phases, with the first phase estimated at $150 million. Metrobloks has not yet filed formal plans with the city, and financing details remain unclear, as the company previously raised only $5.2 million in seed funding.

Community reactions have been mixed, with some residents expressing skepticism about the benefits of the project. Metrobloks CEO Earnest Popescu emphasized transparency and engagement, citing potential economic advantages for the area.
