WHP Braidwood - Building 8

WHP Braidwood is a planned data center development located in Braidwood, Illinois, approximately 53 miles southwest of Chicago. The project, spearheaded by Western Hospitality Partners (WHP) in collaboration with Found Digital, was initially slated to be a significant development. However, the project has been placed on hold due to issues with ComEd's transmission infrastructure and regulations. The proposed site is situated near Interstate 55 and Reed Road, with site plans suggesting the potential for up to eight buildings and an on-site substation. The City of Braidwood has expressed its commitment to responsible economic development and ensuring future projects align with the city's infrastructure capacity. The development is located in proximity to the 2.2GW Braidwood Nuclear Generating Station.
