KARIS Hoffman Estates

Karis Critical, a developer focused on land, energy, and infrastructure for data centers, has acquired 180 acres of land in Hoffman Estates, Illinois, for $45 million. The site, known as the Plum Farms property, is situated at the northwest corner of Route 59 and Higgins Road in the Chicago market.

This greenfield site was previously planned for residential and commercial development. Karis Critical's acquisition marks a significant investment in the region, adding to its substantial land portfolio which includes other sites around Chicago, as well as in Colorado, Ohio, and South Carolina. The company is also developing a data center in Dekalb, Illinois, and previously filed plans for a campus in Merrillville, Indiana.
