Legacy Investing

The former Cboe headquarters, a 385,000-square-foot, six-story office building located at 400 S. LaSalle Street in Chicago, Illinois, is being acquired by Legacy Investing for conversion into a 33MW data center. This facility is slated for operation late next year. The building previously served as the headquarters for the options exchange company Cboe, which began vacating the premises in 2019. Legacy Investing, a real estate investment firm with a portfolio of approximately 20 million sq ft of industrial, logistics, life sciences, and data center properties across the US, plans to leverage the existing power infrastructure, which was a critical consideration during the acquisition process. This conversion represents a significant development in Chicago's data center market.
