Project Cardinal - Building 2

Project Cardinal is an ambitious data center development project proposed in Yorkville, Illinois. Spanning approximately 1,000 acres, the project aims to establish a cutting-edge campus featuring 14 two-story data center buildings. These facilities will collectively cover around 17 million square feet and deliver a total capacity of 1.8GW. The campus will also include two on-site substations and a switchyard to support its operations.

The development is designed to be executed in phases, with each building becoming operational within 24 months of groundbreaking. The first phase is expected to be completed by 2029. The project seeks to rezone the land to accommodate its industrial purpose, transforming the area into a hub for advanced data center infrastructure.
