On August 9, 2022, CleanSpark entered into a definitive agreement to acquire the Washington, GA turnkey mining facility from WAHA Technologies for $16.2 million in cash and stock
CleanSpark's Washington facility is its third Bitcoin mining site, acquired during the summer 2022 bear market. The site was already operational when purchased, allowing for a seamless transition.
Bitcoin mining machines are housed in multiple air-cooled buildings to maximize efficiency. In July 2023, a 50-megawatt expansion added four new buildings, accommodating an additional 14,000 latest-generation miners.
The facility primarily draws power from low-carbon sources, such as nuclear energy, reinforcing CleanSpark’s commitment to sustainable mining practices.
As of September 30, 2023, the Washington facility maintained an operational hashrate of 3.0 exahashes per second, contributing significantly to CleanSpark’s overall mining capacity.
