CleanSpark's Sandersville facility is its largest Bitcoin mining site, acquired during the summer 2022 bear market. The turnkey operation was purchased from Mawson Infrastructure Group, with room to nearly triple its capacity.
The site underwent a 150-megawatt expansion, expected to be completed in early 2024. Each building will house thousands of high-performance Bitcoin mining machines, adding over six exahashes per second to CleanSpark's total hashrate.
Sandersville's facility features its own power substation to manage the 250-megawatt power output, which is ten times the energy required to power the entire city. The city itself only uses 25 megawatts of power.
