Project Arrowhead is a proposed gigawatt-scale data center campus planned for a 1,000-acre site in Irwin County, Georgia, near Ocilla. Premier Data Center Development, LLC intends to develop a five-building campus covering 4.22 million sq ft, with a potential total capacity of 1.25GW. Georgia Power is conducting an energy study for the project. The first phase is anticipated to be operational by 2030, with full build-out by 2034. The project could see an investment of up to $6 billion. The land is owned by Fletcher Marcus D Trust and Sirrom Farms LLC. This proposal follows a previous, withdrawn data center project in the area. Irwin County has recently enacted a data center ordinance addressing issues like setbacks and noise. The project has faced some local opposition.
